A recently completed Super-Cor Structural Steel Plate portal is just one of several infrastructure solutions AIL Mining has designed and supplied for this Northern Quebec mine site over the last 10 years. Other projects have included multiple vent raise structures, an MSE retaining wall for a portable crusher and various Corrugated Steel Pipe drainage solutions.
Mining portal customized to accommodate ventilation system
This portal was designed to support two ventilation lines, including their associated fans and silencers. In the process, modifications had to be made to some of our custom bracket systems due to on-site health and safety constraints. AIL Mining collaborated with the owner and contractor to find a suitable solution using eye nuts.
Weekly meetings with the owners and their consultant kept the project on track and our AIL Mining Rep was on-site to offer assistance to the contractor during assembly.
