The AIL Group maintains Platinum status with Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 2026

The AIL Group of Companies is proud to have requalified as a Canada’s Best Managed Companies Platinum Club member in 2026, having been a winner in the program since 2019. Platinum Club winners have maintained their Best Managed status for seven or more years.

“I’m very pleased that we are maintaining our Best Managed Platinum Club membership as we embark on our seventh decade in business,” says Mike Wilson, CEO of The AIL Group of Companies. “I thank everyone in The AIL Group for helping us achieve this. Working together, we made it happen.”

Canada’s Best Managed Companies program continues to be the mark of excellence for privately owned Canadian companies. Every year since the launch of the program in 1993, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies have competed for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates their management skills and practices.

“Maintaining our Best Managed Platinum status reflects our commitment to strong execution and continuous improvement,” says Jason Sherwood, President & CEO, Atlantic Industries Limited. “I’m very proud of what our teams continue to deliver year after year.”

Best Managed applicants are evaluated by an independent panel of judges with representation from program sponsors and special guests.

“With new made-in-Canada product innovations and continued investment in our operations, there’s a lot of positive momentum across The AIL Group,” says Dale Gaston, President, Algonquin Bridge & AIL Sound Walls. “It’s an honour to be recognized again for building a business focused on long-term growth and strong execution.”

The 2026 cohort of Best Managed Companies shares common themes, including fostering a people-centric culture, implementing a strategic company framework, investing in innovation and technological advancement and maintaining financial resilience and strong corporate governance. Together, these practices strengthen the Canadian economy by promoting sustainable growth, enhancing competitiveness and cultivating a thriving business ecosystem.

“Over the past year, companies such as The AIL Group have continually adapted and successfully responded to challenges, seized new opportunities and leveraged industry-leading competencies to maximize their investments and drive sustainable growth,” said Derrick Dempster, Partner, Deloitte Private and Canada’s Best Managed Co-Leader. “These winners have set the standard of excellence for Canada’s business ecosystem by demonstrating a strong commitment to strategic transformation, talent and workforce development and technological and business adaptability.”
